Lakesha Yvette Walker is a proud member of the Disney Alumni Association and was a
Disney Feature Writing Fellow, writing a rom-com for the brand.
She currently works at Disney, where she helped create, launch and shapes the daily voice for their Reimagine Tomorrow social platforms, leading Social Media Content strategy and creation.
Lakesha also hosts podcasts for Disney Movie Insiders, and is a Social Synergy Partner and Producer for ABC's On The Red Carpet .
A natural storyteller who loves creating and sharing human interest feature stories, Lakesha has a diverse background in writing, social media, digital marketing and broadcast journalism, finding joy in creating social synergy strategy campaigns and content for brands.

Lakesha grew up on military bases around the world, and counts Graceville, Florida, Louisiana, Germany and Monterey, California as part of her upbringing.
Now residing in Los Angeles, she brings her global experience and a lifetime love for writing and discovering new stories to her work in entertainment field, adding creating and executive producing a monthly performance event at The House of Blues called "The Candid Confessional" to her resume.
Lakesha has writing credits on ABC's "Dirty Sexy Money," a romantic comedy at Disney and has appeared on The Steve Harvey Show and was featured in "On The Rise," a reality show series which follows the lives of three women, proving there's no such thing as an overnight success.
She was recently chosen as one of 40 writers, paired with 40 Directors from the Alliance of Women Directors at the WGA, with the hopes of teaming up on a feature script, setting in motion her dream to have her film "12 Steps to Love" sold and in production by 2020.
An avid fan of health, travel and wellness, Lakesha is also an IDEA Inspired Fitness Blogger, and created a dance fitness column for The Examiner, Dance Fitness LA.
Using her background in network programming and development, as well as her love for writing, social media and digital publishing, Lakesha enjoys working with brands looking to create multi-platform content through a unique lens.
She helped launch REVOLT, a multi-platform, multi-genre network founded by Sean "Diddy" Combs where she spent 8 years working across various business units.
During her time at the network, Lakesha helped manage, produce and develop content for the brand, as well as lended her talents to doing voice over work and hosting red carpet events, including Fox's "The Four."
As a member of REVOLT's Digital Team, she managed and lead over 100+ social media and digital marketing campaigns, earning 4 Stevie Awards for her work on REVOLT Summit x AT&T and an International Summit Marketing Effectiveness Award for her work on the digital content series "Sneakin' In With Druski," the REVOLT x Adidas Sustainability Campaign honored in the Online Advertising and Marketing Category.

A former broadcast journalist, Lakesha honed her writing and public speaking skills as an anchor and reporter for KTEH’s Update News.
A graduate of San Jose State University’s School of Broadcast Journalism and Mass Communications, her human interest feature stories, profiling San Francisco’s historic Delancey Street Restaurant and WBC Fighter of the Year, Carina Moreno earned her top honors from The Society of Professional Journalists and The National William Randolph Hearst Foundation.
She has also worked for NBC 11 in San Jose, KCBS and KION in Salinas, CA.

Upon moving to Los Angeles, Lakesha transitioned into scripted television, gaining experience while working with studio executives
at NBC, Sony and alongside legendary philanthropist and producer Norman Lear, as well as producer Melissa Kellner Berman and
multi-hyphenate Greg Berlanti.

Lakesha landed her first writing gig on ABC’s “Dirty Sexy Money.”

She is also a Disney Feature Fellow, spending a year writing and developing a romantic comedy for Disney as a part of it's Feature Writing Fellowship Program.
The Candid Confessional
In 2008, Lakesha created, The Candid Confessional. It is a monthly performance event where writers, actors, directors, comics, poets, musicians and anyone else brave enough, step inside to ....Confess.

An avid dancer, Lakesha writes, creates and curates content featuring the city's hottest studios and classes, sharing the journey on her blog, Dance Fitness LA.
She is also an IDEA Inspired Blogger and her work has been featured in a column she created for The Examiner, as part of it's City's Best Secrets Section.
LA FILLE DE CACAO ENTERTAINMENT
In 2008, Lakesha formed her own production company, La Fille de Cacao Entertainment. In addition to being the producing vehicle for a variety of projects for television, film and the web, LFDCE also produces content that can be used across social and digital, as well as live creative arts events, which include, “The Candid Confessional.”
